Fremont regularly hosts workshops, seminars, and guest speaker events designed to motivate students and help them prepare for a career. Below is a list of the different types of events that take place every term at Fremont College:
CEOs and other business professionals talk to students about their path to success, including challenges and victories they encountered along the way. Past CEO Open House guest speakers have included: Brian Lee – CEO of LegalZoom and ShoeDazzle, Greg Longstreet – CEO of Farmer John Foods, Thomas Levy – attorney and former Mayor of Beverly Hills, and Gil Garcetti – former District Attorney of Los Angeles.
Experts from a wide variety of industries provide insight into their day-to-day work environment and give students practical tips for pursuing a career in their field.
On occasion, we invite well-known athletes, authors, and motivational speakers to offer words of inspiration to our students. Guest speakers who visited the Fremont College campus have included: former NFL football players Will Demps, Robert Ortiz, and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila. Joseph Ligé, author of “A Mile a Day”, also visited our campus.
Each term, our Career Development team holds seminars that provide students with the resources they need to prepare for the demands of today’s workforce. Past seminar topics have included, resume and cover letter writing, how to find the right job, preparing for a job interview, and time management.
